Depending on your arrival time in Cusco, our transfer driver will be waiting for you at the airport with your name.

Then our driver will take you to your selected hotel in the city of Cusco.

  1. Qoricancha Temple: Also known as the House of the Sun, this temple was the richest in precious metals of the Inca Empire, used for religious offerings.
  2. Sacsayhuaman: It means “satisfied falcon” in Quechua. It is a ceremonial construction located 2 km from Cusco, where the Inti Raymi is celebrated every June 24.
  3. Qenqo: Its name means “labyrinth” in Quechua. This archeological park, 6 km from Cusco, contains a semicircular construction and various elements that suggest a ceremonial use.
  4. Puca Pucara: Known as the “Red Fortress” because of the color of its rocks. It was a military and surveillance construction with large walls, stairways, and terraces.
  5. Tambomachay: Located 12 km from Cusco, known as the Baths of the Inca, for its water sources, and may have been a place of water worship.

The tour concludes with the return to Cusco.

The Sacred Valley + Maras and Moray tour starts between 06h00 and 06h30 with pick-up from your hotels in Cusco.

First stop: Chinchero

Known as “the cradle of the rainbow”, Chinchero dazzles with its handicraft market and its colonial church built on Inca ruins.

The agricultural terraces and ancestral weaving techniques are a living testimony of the local culture.

Second stop: Moray

This archaeological site features fascinating circular terraces that the Incas used for agricultural experiments. Each level offered a different microclimate, allowing a variety of plants to be cultivated.

Third stop: Maras

The salt pans of Maras, with more than 3,000 shimmering pools, offer a spectacular view. Since pre-Inca times, salt has been extracted here using an ingenious system of natural evaporation.

Fourth stop: Urubamba

In the heart of the Sacred Valley, Urubamba offers a well-deserved rest and the opportunity to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, surrounded by green landscapes.

Fifth stop: Ollantaytambo

The fortress of Ollantaytambo, with its impressive terraces and temples, is an Inca architectural marvel. The panoramic views from the top are unforgettable.

The tour concludes in Ollantaytambo, where visitors can take the train to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, a hotel host will be waiting for you to take you there and accommodate you.

Meeting in Aguas Calientes:

  • We will meet at the main square of Aguas Calientes after coordination.
  • Explanations about bus tickets, entrance fees, and the tour to Machu Picchu.

Transfer to Machu Picchu:

  • Regrouping with the guide.
  • Bus up to Machu Picchu (approximate duration: 35 minutes).

Visit to Machu Picchu:

  • Entrance to Machu Picchu according to the entrance time and circuit.
  • Guided tour of 2 hours by the main points of the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

Return to Aguas Calientes:

  • Board the bus back to Aguas Calientes at the agreed time.

Return to Cusco:

  • 18h00 or 19h00: Return the train from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo (arrive 30 minutes before the station).
  • 19h50 or 20h50: Arrival in Ollantaytambo and transfer by tourist transport to Cusco.

Start in Cusco:

  • Pick up from your hotel in the historic center of Cusco between 04:00 and 04h30.
  • For hotels in remote areas, a meeting point will be arranged.

Trip to Cusipata:

  • Departure from Cusco at 05:00 am.
  • Travel 2 hours to Cusipata.
  • Andean breakfast in Cusipata.

Trekking to 7 Colors Mountain:

  • Drive 1 hour more to the parking lot in Chillihuani.
  • Hike 1 hour and 30 minutes uphill to the 7 Colores Mountain.
  • Possibility to rent horses for 70 soles approx.

Exploration of the 7 Colores Mountain:

  • Arrival at an altitude of, 5200 masl.
  • Time for photos and rest at the top.

Return to Cusco:

  • Return to Cusipata for Andean lunch.
  • Departure to Cusco.
  • Arrival in Cusco around 17:00.
  • End of the tour at Plaza Regocijo or Plaza San Francisco.

Preguntas frecuentes

You will have to travel for three hours to a small town called Pitumarca, located in the province of Quispicanchi. Once in Pitumarca, you must take a trail route to the rural community of Pampa Chiri, where you will begin the exciting hike. After a 4-hour hike, you will reach the village of Machuraccay, where you will be able to appreciate the colors of the mountain and other beauties such as lagoons and streams. The journey will end at the top of the Seven Colors Mountain at an altitude of approximately 5033 meters above sea level.
With 5 days you could know the most important of Cusco and Machu Picchu, but if you want to live a much more complete experience it is advisable to stay a few more days to do the tours of the Humantay Lagoon and the Colored Mountain.
It is recommended to visit the Inca Citadel between Monday and Friday, because it is not as crowded as on weekends.
