This tour is perfect for travelers who want to visit Machu Picchu in a single day, without losing comfort or quality. The tour begins early in the morning in Cusco, with transfer to the train station in Poroy, just 20 minutes from the historic center. From there you will board the Expedition train, known for its modern design, comfortable seats and large panoramic windows that allow you to enjoy the Andean landscapes throughout the journey.

The train ride passes through the fertile Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing picturesque villages, snow-capped mountains and rivers that wind into the high jungle. Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu, where your expert guide will take you through the temples, terraces and viewpoints of the ancient Inca city. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the mystical energy of the place. Finally, you will return by train to Cusco with a heart full of history and wonder.

Day 01 Cusco – Poroy – Hot Waters – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Your adventure will begin very early, when you will be picked up at your hotel in Cusco and transferred to the train station in Poroy. There you will board the Expedition train, a unique visual experience that will take you through impressive landscapes of the Sacred Valley. During the approximately 3 and a half hour journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Andes, the Urubamba River and the towns that are part of the ancient Inca trail.

Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes (2,040 meters), you will head towards the bus station to go up to the entrance to Machu Picchu, a journey of about 30 minutes. Once at the top, your guide will accompany you on a guided tour of around two and a half hours, exploring the main archaeological sectors: the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Plaza and the Temple of the Three Windows. You will learn the history, spiritual meaning and architectural secrets of this jewel of the Inca Empire.

After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the area at your own pace, take photographs and contemplate the majesty of the landscape. Later, we will descend again to Aguas Calientes for lunch (own expense) before boarding the return train to Poroy, where our private transportation will wait to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving at approximately dusk.

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!
