Itinerary
Day 01 Lima – Ica – Vineyards – Huacachina – Return to Lima
We will start our Tour Oasis Huacachina from Lima by Bus early at 06:00 AM. Our transfer will pick us up at the hotel door and take us to the Cruz del Sur bus station, 30 minutes before departure. We will begin our journey aboard a comfortable tourist bus heading south along Peru’s coast.
During the 450 km route, we will enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the vast coastal desert. The landscape will change dramatically as we leave the city behind and enter the arid plains of Ica.
We will arrive in Ica around 10:00 AM to explore the region’s most emblematic vineyards. At Hacienda Tacama, one of the oldest wineries in South America, we will learn about the traditional process of making wine and pisco.
We will walk through its historical cellars, see ancient machinery, and discover how local grapes become Peru’s most famous spirits. We will taste select wines and piscos while surrounded by the tranquil scenery of the vineyard. This experience will connect us to Ica’s rich viticultural tradition.
Next, we will visit CulturPisco, where we will witness the artisanal production of pisco and wine. We will see step-by-step demonstrations and meet local experts who preserve centuries-old techniques. We will sample freshly distilled pisco and learn to appreciate its unique aromas and flavors. This visit will let us understand why Ica is the heart of Peru’s pisco culture.
Around 02:00 PM, we will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant (optional). We will taste delicious regional dishes such as carapulcra, seco de cordero, or traditional sopa seca. This will be a perfect opportunity to rest, enjoy Ica’s cuisine, and prepare for our afternoon adventure.
By 04:30 PM, we will arrive at the legendary Huacachina Oasis, known as the Oasis of America. Surrounded by giant sand dunes up to 100 meters high, this natural wonder offers a breathtaking desert landscape.
We will board powerful dune buggies and ride through the endless golden sands at thrilling speeds. For those seeking adventure, we will try sandboarding on the tallest dunes. The adrenaline rush will combine with incredible desert views, creating unforgettable moments.

October 12, 2025The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

What a beautiful place!!! Most of us went up there on mules. Important to clarify if the person weighs more than 110 kg he will not be able to carry it and will have to walk up . . . It is still very expensive, to have proper footwear
