Itinerary
Day 01 Full Day Ica and Paracas Tour from Lima
We will begin early, with pickup from your hotel in Miraflores or Barranco between 04:00 – 04:45 AM. Our guide will welcome us and give a brief explanation of the day ahead. We will get on the tourist bus and head to Paracas, enjoying the beautiful drive along Peru’s southern coast.
Around 06:20 AM, we will stop for a quick breakfast along the route, enjoying coffee and a savory pastry. After breakfast, we will continue our journey to Paracas, anticipating the adventure ahead.
At 09:00 AM, we will arrive at the Paracas tourist port for the Ballestas Islands tour. We will board speedboats for approximately 2 hours, with bilingual guides providing interesting information throughout. We will observe the famous Candelabro geoglyph, a mysterious ancient figure carved into the coastal hill.
Next, we will explore the islands, witnessing abundant wildlife, including sea lions, guanay cormorants, and Humboldt penguins. The sparkling ocean and dramatic rock formations will create a memorable experience.
By 11:00 AM, we will enjoy free time in Paracas. Our guide will offer local sweets such as Chocotejas, Tejas, and Paciencias. We will have opportunities for photos, souvenirs, and a brief exploration of the town. The guide will give instructions to regroup for the next part of our adventure.
Around 12:30 PM, we will travel for nearly 1 hour to Ica, the city of eternal sun. We will visit a famous pisco and wine bodega, learning traditional production methods. We will taste local wines and piscos and gain insights into the region’s winemaking culture. Afterward, we will have 1 hour of free time for lunch (optional, at own expense).
At 3:00 PM, we will arrive at Huacachina Oasis, a stunning desert paradise surrounded by golden dunes and palm trees. Around 3:30 PM, we will start the dune buggy and sandboarding adventure, lasting approximately 1 hour. We will ride through towering dunes, slide down sandy slopes, and take amazing photos of the desert landscape.
By 4:30 PM, we will finish the dune adventure and prepare to return to Lima. At 4:55 PM, we will begin our return journey, traveling approximately 4 hours 30 minutes along the coast. We will reach Larcomar around 9:30 PM and then transfer to hotels in Miraflores or Barranco, ending our services.

The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

What a beautiful place!!! Most of us went up there on mules. Important to clarify if the person weighs more than 110 kg he will not be able to carry it and will have to walk up . . . It is still very expensive, to have proper footwear
