We will travel from Lima to explore the mysterious Nazca Lines and the stunning Huacachina Oasis. This tour combines adventure, culture, and history. We will enjoy a full day of discovery with comfortable transportation and expert guidance.

We will fly over the famous Nazca Lines from Lima, seeing geoglyphs like the Hummingbird, Spider, and Condor from above. The aerial view will allow us to appreciate their size and precision. We will learn about the history and cultural significance of these ancient designs.

After the Nazca Lines tour, we will visit the Huacachina Oasis in the Ica desert. We will ride dune buggies and practice sandboarding on the golden dunes. The desert landscape will provide perfect opportunities for photos and unforgettable experiences.

We will also explore the local traditions of Ica and learn about Pisco production. We will visit a traditional winery and taste local Pisco and wines. This combination of adventure, history, and culture will make the day unforgettable.

Itinerary

Day 01 Desert Adventure & Nazca Lines Flight

03:00 AM – Hotel Pickup in Miraflores or Barranco

We will start our Nazca Lines Tour from Lima with a private pickup at your hotel. We will travel along Peru’s southern coast toward Paracas. During the drive, we will make stops to enjoy breakfast at local restaurants. This early start will maximize our time exploring Ica, Huacachina, and the Nazca Lines.

10:00 AM – Nazca Lines Flight

We will have a short briefing about the history and mysteries of the Nazca Lines. Then, we will board a Cessna Grand Caravan for a 30-minute flight over the desert. From above, we will observe famous geoglyphs including the Condor, Hummingbird, Spider, and Whale. We will capture photos and enjoy the breathtaking aerial views of these ancient designs.

11:00 AM – Transfer from Nazca to Ica

After the flight, we will travel by private vehicle to Ica. Along the route, we will admire the desert landscapes and unique desert flora. Our goal will be to reach Ica in time to explore its gastronomy and culture.

01:30 PM – Wine and Pisco Experience

We will visit Hacienda El Huarango to learn traditional methods of Pisco and wine production. We will taste regional Piscos and wines while enjoying lunch included in the tour. Guests may use the pool to cool off from the warm desert sun. This activity combines culture, gastronomy, and relaxation in one experience.

04:30 PM – Huacachina Oasis and Desert Adventure

We will arrive at the Huacachina Oasis, also known as Huacachina Peru. Here, we will have free time for photos and to enjoy the scenery. Then, we will walk to the dune port to ride dune buggies together. We will explore golden sand dunes, try sandboarding, and capture stunning sunset photos over the desert.

06:30 PM – Return to Lima

We will conclude our day by traveling back to Lima in a private vehicle. Our team will drop guests at their hotel in Miraflores or Barranco. We will arrive around 10:00 PM after a full day of adventure, culture, and scenic experiences.

What is the climate like in Ica?

Ica has two main climates. From December to March, it is summer with very high temperatures. We recommend wearing light clothing, swimwear, or sportswear. From April to November, the climate is humid and cooler with occasional drizzle. We recommend wearing warm clothes, jackets, and raincoats, especially when visiting the Ballestas Islands.

How can we get to Ica from Lima?

• Private travel agency: The fastest and most comfortable way. Pickup can be from your hotel or a coordinated point.
• Shared colectivos: Small vans with about six seats, averaging 3.5 hours travel time. Departure happens once full.
• Bus companies: Popular option. Soyuz and Cruz del Sur run frequent departures, every 30 minutes.

How can we see the Nazca Lines?

You can see the Nazca Lines by airplane or from miradors (viewpoints). The best view is from the air. Daily flights range from 30 minutes to over an hour. Some flights depart from Ica’s airport or aerodrome.

What is the tour cancellation policy?

If travelers cancel 30 days or less before the trip, they must pay 100% of the tour cost. For cancellations made 31 days or more, fees may vary depending on the departure and itinerary.

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!
