Itinerary
Day 01 Cusco – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes
We will begin our Machu Picchu by Car 2 Days tour with a hotel pickup in Cusco between 07:00 and 07:30 AM. The journey passes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will see traditional villages and changing landscapes, moving from the cold Andes to the warm tropical forest.
We will reach Abra Málaga (4,350 meters above sea level), the highest point of the route, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Then, we will descend toward the lush jungle of Santa María, continuing to Santa Teresa (1,550 meters above sea level) for a local lunch and a short break.
After lunch, we will travel 45 minutes by bus to Hidroeléctrica (1,800 meters above sea level). From there, we will walk 3 hours along the scenic railway, enjoying tropical vegetation, waterfalls, and wildlife. Travelers may also choose to take the local train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will check into our hotel and have dinner. In the evening, the guide will provide instructions and information for the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 02 Guided Tour in Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
We will start the day early at 05:00 AM for our Machu Picchu Tour by Car. We will hike approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, or travelers may take the bus for a quicker ascent.
Once inside the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a 2-hour guided tour, exploring highlights such as the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana Stone, Temple of the Condor, and the Main Plaza. After the guided tour, we will have free time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the spectacular views.
At 11:30 AM, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and prepare for our journey back. By 2:30–3:00 PM, we will head to Hidroeléctrica, either walking or using the 12:30 PM local train. From there, our bus will take us back to Cusco, concluding the Machu Picchu Tour by Car at Plaza San Francisco in the city center.

The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

What a beautiful place!!! Most of us went up there on mules. Important to clarify if the person weighs more than 110 kg he will not be able to carry it and will have to walk up . . . It is still very expensive, to have proper footwear
