Itinerary

Day 01 Huacachina Sandboarding & Sand Ski Peru

Huacachina – Preparación – Buggies – Sandboarding & Sandski – Puesta de sol – Retorno.

03:00 PM, Pickup at Meeting Point
We will meet at the designated point, the Carola Lodge hotel reception in Huacachina. Our team will check our sandboarding boards and safety equipment. We will prepare for the thrilling adventure ahead, ensuring all boards fit properly.

04:00 PM Sandboarding in Huacachina

We will start Huacachina sandboarding, sliding down giant golden dunes using specialized boards. We will try sand skiing Peru, gaining speed while controlling balance. Our instructor will guide every move, helping us enjoy sandboarding in Peru safely. The experience will provide adrenaline, fun, and incredible desert views.

05:45 PM– Sunset Views
We will pause on a dune to watch the breathtaking desert sunset over Huacachina. The orange and golden sky will reflect on the oasis lagoon, creating perfect photo opportunities. We will capture memories while enjoying a short break before returning to the buggy base.

06:00 PM – Buggy Base Return
We will ride the buggies back, feeling the desert wind and enjoying wide views of the surrounding dunes. The driver will ensure a fun, smooth, and safe ride.

06:30 PM– Return to Meeting Point
We will return to the Carola Lodge meeting point, completing our Huacachina sandboarding and sand skiing Peru adventure. We will say goodbye to our instructor and local team, keeping unforgettable desert memories.

What is the climate like in Ica?

Ica has two main climates. From December to March, summer brings high temperatures. We recommend wearing light clothing, swimwear, or sportswear. From April to November, the weather is cooler and more humid with occasional drizzles. We recommend bringing warm jackets, sweaters, and raincoats, especially for boat rides or desert excursions.

How do we get to Ica from Lima?

We can reach Ica by road. Traveling with a tour agency is fastest and most comfortable, with optional hotel pickup. Shared collectivos from Avenida Mexico take about 3.5 hours but require waiting for 6 passengers. Regular buses from Soyuz or Cruz del Sur depart every 30 minutes and are a popular option.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 30 days or less before the tour will forfeit 100% of the cost. For cancellations 31 days or more, fees may vary depending on the departure and itinerary.

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!
