We will start our journey by exploring the Ballestas Islands in Peru, a breathtaking wildlife paradise near Paracas. We will take a speedboat ride across the Pacific Ocean to observe sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and countless seabirds. The scenery will amaze us as we pass by unique rock formations and the mysterious Candelabro geoglyph. Every moment will bring a deeper connection with Peru’s coastal biodiversity.

In the afternoon, we will continue towards Ica, located about 300 km south of Lima. We will explore its charming city center, known for its warm climate and local traditions. Later, we will visit a traditional vineyard to learn about the production of pisco and wine. We will taste the region’s best flavors and experience Peru’s rich cultural heritage.

On the second day, we will explore Huacachina, a desert oasis surrounded by golden dunes. We will ride dune buggies through the vast sands and enjoy sandboarding down the towering slopes. Itinerary

Day 01 Hotel Check-in – Dune Buggies and Sandboarding in Huacachina

We will begin our adventure at 10:45 AM after traveling by bus from Lima to Ica, Peru. When we arrive, our transfer assistant will meet us at the station and take us to our hotel in Huacachina, a beautiful oasis surrounded by golden dunes.

We will check in and relax by the refreshing hotel pool, enjoying the warm desert breeze and panoramic views. Around 04:30 PM., we will begin an exciting dune buggy ride through the vast Huacachina Desert. The speed and movement of the sand will fill us with adrenaline and joy.

We will practice sandboarding on the towering dunes, sliding down smooth sandy slopes under the radiant sun. This fun activity will allow us to feel the desert’s energy and capture stunning sunset photos. The tour will last about two hours, ending around 06:30 PM .

At night, we will have time to explore Huacachina on our own and taste delicious local dishes. The oasis will come alive with soft lights and peaceful reflections on the lagoon’s surface.

Day 02 Ballestas Islands and Paracas National Reserve (Option 1)

We will wake up early and depart at 05:30 AM. from our hotel in Huacachina toward Paracas, located about 75 km away. After a short ride, we will arrive at El Chaco Pier, where we will take a speedboat to explore the stunning Ballestas Islands Peru.

During our two-hour tour, we will admire the famous Candelabro geoglyph, a mysterious design carved on a coastal hill. Then, we will continue to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and thousands of seabirds. The sound of waves and wildlife will create a fascinating natural symphony.

After exploring the ocean, we will visit the Paracas National Reserve, one of Peru’s most remarkable coastal ecosystems.

We will admire dramatic cliffs, red sand beaches, and turquoise waters that meet the endless Pacific horizon. The beauty and tranquility of Paracas will make this a perfect morning in nature.

By 04:00 PM., we will return to Huacachina or drop you off at the Paracas or Ica bus station.

Day 2: Vineyard Tour in Ica (Option 2)

Alternatively, at 10:00 AM, we will begin a cultural and culinary tour through the vineyards of Ica, Peru. We will visit the historic Hacienda Tacama, one of the oldest wine producers in South America. Here, we will learn about the wine and pisco-making process and enjoy a guided tasting session.

We will then visit Cultur Pisco, where we will discover the artisanal production methods of Peru’s national spirit. We will taste different piscos and local products as we learn about the rich traditions of the Ica Valley. The tour will last about four hours, offering an authentic experience of Peru’s viticultural heritage.

At the end of the day, we will return to our hotel or the Ica bus station, ready to continue our journey.

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!
