Day 01 Desert Toast and Vineyards Exploration
We will start our Huacachina Tour from Lima early in the morning. At 06:00 AM, our private driver will pick us up directly from our hotel in Lima. We will travel south along the Pan-American Highway, covering 300 km through Peru’s scenic coastal desert. Along the way, we will enjoy panoramic views of dunes, valleys, and the Pacific Ocean.
By 11:30 AM, we will arrive in Ica, one of Peru’s most famous wine regions. We will start our vineyard tour at Hacienda Tacama, one of South America’s oldest and most historic wineries. Here, we will discover the traditional winemaking process and enjoy a guided tasting amid a charming colonial atmosphere.
Next, we will continue to CulturPisco, a local distillery known for its artisanal production of Pisco, Peru’s national spirit. We will explore the process of fermentation and distillation, tasting various Pisco blends and local products made from grapes. This experience will allow us to connect deeply with Ica’s rich wine culture and history.
At 01:00 PM, we will stop for lunch in a traditional Ica restaurant. We may taste regional dishes such as carapulcra, sopa seca, or fresh seafood paired with a glass of local wine. This meal will be optional and paid directly at the restaurant.
After lunch, at 04:30 PM, we will head to the iconic Huacachina Oasis, also called the “Oasis of America.” This small natural lagoon is surrounded by huge golden sand dunes. We will explore the oasis, take photos, and enjoy its calm and enchanting atmosphere.
Then, we will prepare for an unforgettable dune buggy and sandboarding adventure. We will speed over giant dunes and feel the thrill of sliding down sandy slopes. From the top of the dunes, we will admire a stunning sunset that paints the desert in warm orange and pink tones.
At 07:00 PM, we will start our return to Lima. Our driver will safely take us to our hotel, concluding this unforgettable Huacachina day trip. We will return filled with memories of the desert, the vineyards, and the warmth of Ica’s culture.

The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

What a beautiful place!!! Most of us went up there on mules. Important to clarify if the person weighs more than 110 kg he will not be able to carry it and will have to walk up . . . It is still very expensive, to have proper footwear
