We will start early at 06:00 a.m. with hotel pickup in Cusco. Our first stop will be Chinchero, known for its colorful artisan market, colonial church, and Inca terraces. Then, we will explore Moray, a fascinating circular terrace complex used by the Incas for agricultural experiments, and Maras, home to more than 3,000 pre-Inca salt pools. After a buffet lunch in Urubamba, we will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, a stunning example of Inca architecture. In the afternoon, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will check into our hotel and rest for the night.

We will begin at 06:00 a.m. with our ascent to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We will hike up Waynapicchu Mountain, enjoying breathtaking views of the citadel and the surrounding valleys. After descending, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and visit the Butterfly Garden, a conservation center for native species. We will have free time to explore the town before returning to the hotel.

Route: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Waynapicchu – Butterfly Garden
Difficulty: Moderate (Waynapicchu ascent)
After breakfast, we will take the bus back to Machu Picchu for a two-hour guided tour. We will explore temples, agricultural terraces, and ceremonial structures while learning about Inca architecture and history. Then, we will have free time to relax in Aguas Calientes, visit the thermal baths, or enjoy lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus transfer to Cusco, arriving around 22:00 hrs.

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!

El guía fue excelente. Tenía muchos conocimientos y fue considerado con nuestras limitaciones. Viajábamos con nuestra madre, que tiene más de 75 años, y él fue muy amable. Le recomendaría, el guía turístico fue el mejor elemento de la experiencia.
