Itinerary

Day 01 City Tour Cusco

Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, Main Square, and Cusco Cathedral.

We will start at 09:00 AM or 02:00 PM from your hotel or Plaza de Armas. The tour will explore Sacsayhuamán, where we will admire panoramic views of Cusco. Next, we will visit Qenqo, a ceremonial and astronomical site. Puca Pucara will show us Inca military architecture, and Tambomachay will reveal water channels built in stone. The tour concludes in Cusco’s historic center.

Day 02 Sacred Valley Tour

Chinchero, Moray, Maras Salt Mines, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac (Sacred Valley).

We will depart at 06:30 AM for Chinchero, exploring Inca walls and local textile demonstrations. Then, we will visit Moray, with its concentric terraces used as an agricultural laboratory. Maras salt mines will impress us with over 5,000 ponds, still in use by local families. After lunch in Urubamba, we will explore Ollantaytambo’s fortress and Pisac, including its artisanal market and archaeological center. We will return to Cusco by 07:00 PM.

Day 03 Rainbow Mountain Tour

Cusipata, Vinicunca, Seven Colors Mountain Viewpoint, and Ausangate Snow Peak.

We will start between 04:00 AM and 04:30 AM from Cusco and travel to Cusipata for breakfast at 3,300 meters above sea level. Then, we will reach Vinicunca, the base of Rainbow Mountain. We will hike through Andean landscapes, spotting native vegetation and alpacas. Spectacular views of Ausangate Glacier will accompany us. Horses are available for rent if needed. We will reach Rainbow Mountain’s viewpoint to admire the colors and capture photos, then return to Cusco.

Day 3 Statistics:

· Highest altitude: 5,200 meters above sea level at Rainbow Mountain

· Lowest altitude: 3,300meters above sea level in Cusipata

· Route: Cusco – Cusipata – Vinicunca – Rainbow Mountain – Cusco

Day 04 Humantay Lake Tour

Mollepata, Soraypampa, Humantay Lagoon, and Salkantay Snow Peak.

We will begin at 03:30 AM–04:00 AM from Cusco and travel to Mollepata for breakfast. The bus will take us to Soraypampa, starting point for the hike to Humantay Lake at 4,250 meters above sea level. The 1.5-hour trek will offer dramatic Andean scenery and views of valleys and glaciers. At the lake, we will take photos and rest before descending. After lunch in Mollepata, we will return to Cusco by 06:30 PM.

Day 4 Statistics:

· Highest altitude: 4,250 meters above sea level at Humantay Lake

· Lowest altitude: 2,900 meters above sea level in Mollepata

· Route: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Mollepata – Cusco

Muy linda experiencia! El traslado y el guía estuvieron muy bien. Es una caminata exigente pero muy bonita. Estaría bueno tener una media hora más para recuperarse y subir hasta la cima donde salen mejores fotos. Al menos con mi estado físico no me dio el aire para hacer todo tan rápido!
