Itinerary

Day 01 Pick up at Cusco Airport – City Tour

NOTE: The schedule will be 09:00 or 13:00, depending on selection. On Sundays, the start will be at 10:00.

The adventure begins when you land at the Cusco Airport, where our guide welcomes you to take you to the accommodation, where you rest for a while to adapt to the height of the city and begin the City Tour.

The tour begins at Coricancha, the famous Temple of the Sun. We will tour its perfectly carved stone walls. We will see how Inca art and colonial influence coexist in this sacred place. We will feel the importance that this temple had in the Inca Empire.

Then we will go to Sacsayhuamán, an imposing fortress. We will walk between giant stone blocks that amaze with their precision. From there we will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city of Cusco. This site will show us the military and ceremonial greatness of the Incas.

We will continue to Qenqo, a ceremonial space linked to rituals and astronomy. We will walk through its passages carved in rock and see altars where offerings were made. We will feel the mystical atmosphere that is still perceived in this archaeological complex.

Then we will arrive at Puca Pucará, a military fortress with multiple environments. We will observe towers, squares and aqueducts that controlled access to the valley. We will understand how this place was key in the defense of Cusco.

Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, known as the Baños del Inca. We will see water channels carved in stone with great precision. We will listen to the explanation of its ceremonial use dedicated to the cult of water. This place will be the perfect closing for our tour.

We will return to the historic center of Cusco between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. We will culminate our City Tour Cusco - City Tour in Cusco in the Plaza de Armas.
