Day 01 Arequipa – Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve – Chivay
We will start the tour from our hotel in Arequipa. We sighted guardian volcanoes around the white city. We will feel cool weather between 10 °C and 15 °C. We will prepare cameras and warm clothing.
We will travel along the Yura route with open views. We will observe Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu during the ascent. The landscape will change towards wide plateaus. The air will become drier and colder.
We will enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve. We will observe llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and guanacos. We will see ibis, Andean ducks and parihuanas. We will practice responsible tourism throughout the tour.
We will arrive in Patahuasi at 4,000 meters. We will drink hot coca infusion. We will improve our acclimatization naturally. We will walk among unique rock formations.
We will continue towards the wetlands of Toqra Pampa. We will see lagoons and wetlands with migratory birds. We will feel temperatures between 0 °C and 10 °C. We will maintain adequate shelter and a calm pace.
We will reach the Mirador de los Andes at 4,910 meters. We will identify Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca. We will take panoramic photographs of the volcanic range. We will enjoy fresh air and immense views.
We will arrive in Chivay at 3,632 meters. We will have a buffet lunch with fresh Andean products. We will taste quinoa, corn and high Andean meats. We will learn about living traditions of the Colca Valley.
We will visit the thermal baths of La Calera. We will relax muscles in waters of 38 °C. We will enjoy the mountains around.. We will return to the hotel for a restful rest.
In the evening we will have dinner at a local restaurant. We will see typical music and dances. We will share customs of the valley and new friendships. We will sleep in Chivay for the second day.

Day 02 Chivay – Mirador Cruz del Cóndor – Arequipa
We will have breakfast very early in Chivay. We will feel temperatures between 0 °C and 5 °C. We will drink coca tea and fruits. After breakfast we prepare for our visit to the Condor Flight Viewpoint.
We will leave for the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint. We will travel 40 km through the valley. We will see pre-Inca terraces and deep canyons. We will cross traditional agricultural communities.
We will arrive at the main Colca viewpoint. We will wait for the flight of the Andean condor. These birds reach a wingspan of 3 meters. We will admire the depth greater than 3,400 meters.
We will continue through the valley after the observation. We will visit Yanque and Maca. We will see colonial churches and colorful costumes. We will support local artisans with responsible purchasing.
We will return to Chivay for the final lunch. We will taste lunch prepared with Andean products. We will share experiences from the trip we lived. We will prepare the return to Arequipa Peru.
We will return through the Salinas Reserve again. We will observe plateaus, volcanoes and high Andean fauna. We will gradually descend towards a lower altitude towards Arequipa where we end our journey with memorable memories.

The tour starts very early type 3-4 am, how good you can sleep on the way, we breakfast in a very good buffet and then depart for the mountain. Here the height is the problem, you can walk up but it requires a lot of condition, the good thing is that there are horses that you can pay and for 90 suns they leave you 15-20 minutes from the top. Wear layered clothes as you can warm up when climbing. We already walk down and the road is much easier. On horseback you go up in 40 minutes, you are on the mountain an hour to take pictures and the return is about 1 hour or so. In the end we still had lunch in the same very rich buffet!

I liked the Service and attention I received, plus the quality of the guide who touched us to know the sacred valley on the way to Machu Picchu was first class, with extensive knowledge of the Inca culture and with very good explanation, I highly recommend them.

What a beautiful place!!! Most of us went up there on mules. Important to clarify if the person weighs more than 110 kg he will not be able to carry it and will have to walk up . . . It is still very expensive, to have proper footwear
