How long does the trek take?
It is a journey of approximately 40 kilometers of distance. The hike takes an average of 4 days (between 18 hours per day) approximately. But there are options to do it in two days
Where does the trek begin and end?
It begins two hours from the city of Cusco, at kilometer 82 of the railway line known as Wayllabamba and ends at the citadel of Machu Picchu.
How high is the Inca Trail?
It is characterized for being at a very high altitude and for having incredible landscapes all along the way. Its height is 4,224 meters above sea level.
Who discovers the Inca Trail?
It was discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1915, 4 years after the famous discovery of the archaeological site of Machu Picchu.
